Membrane absorption deamination technology is a new and efficient deamination technology which combines physical or chemical absorption and membrane separation. First of all, a certain amount of lye is added to the ammonia nitrogen wastewater to adjust the pH value. There is a dissociation equilibrium of ammonia nitrogen in water. With the increase of pH, ammonia will dissociate in water. After pH value adjustment, ammonia nitrogen wastewater and dilute sulfuric acid absorption liquid enter the tube and shell of the membrane contactor, respectively. Because ammonia in the wastewater has been dissociated into NH3, NH3 will gradually volatilize from the gas-liquid interface and diffuse through the membrane holes of hydrophobic porous PTFE film into dilute sulfuric acid and be absorbed. The diagram of the reaction process is shown in the figure above.
